September 2002:  The Mini-Medical - another creative health benefit alternative...   

Full comprehensive health insurance is expensive and often beyond the means of many people.  Although people are aware that there are other alternatives that provide health care services in the event of a catastrophic illness or accident, it is often the day-to-day health care services that frequently are not covered, causing people to delay or avoid seeking medical attention.  Many times just having access to a family physician is all that is needed to keep minor sicknesses, illnesses or accidents from escalating into larger problems.
